Job Description

Great Show Productions are looking for Follow Spot Operators to work on the upcoming production, COME ALIVE! THE GREATEST SHOWMAN CIRCUS SPECTACULAR. The Follow Spot Operator will work closely with the Head of LX, Stage Manager, and creative team in establishing and executing the stage needs of the production both in rehearsal and performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• To act as Follow spot operator for the production, performing cues consistently across the run as directed by the lighting designer.
• Writing up a comprehensive cue sheet to ensure the show can be covered in the event of absence
• Ensuring all staff and areas for which you are responsible adhere to health and safety regulations.

Essential experience includes:

• Previous follow spot experience on a large-scale West End production.
• Experience and an understanding of stage & show running etiquette.
• Experience of operating a remote follow spot system
• An understanding and practical knowledge of the principles and safe working practices of theatre lighting and electrical systems
