Assistant Stage Manager

Job Description

Great Show Productions are looking for an Assistant Stage Manager to work on the upcoming production, COME ALIVE! THE GREATEST SHOWMAN CIRCUS SPECTACULAR.

Key responsibilities:

• Attend all rehearsals;
• Assist in setting up and tidying the rehearsal space;
• Support the Stage Manager in completing timesheets;
• Support the DSM in writing up rehearsal notes;
• Support the DSM in creating the production “bible”;
• Source props for the production;
• Set props during the production;
• Undertake backstage and front of house stage management work during the production;
• Support in the get-in of the production during the contracted period

Qualifications / Essential Skills:

• Previous experience as an ASM on a busy production
• Attention to detail;
• Good all-round technical skills;
• Awareness of current Health & Safety legislation;
• Flexible and self-motivated with the ability to work well as part of a team and to work calmly under pressure.
• Proactive and energetic, able to work with commitment and dedication to find solutions;
• Good communication and organisational skills;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Desired Skills:
• Experience working with Circus performers and equipment
• Experience working in large-scale experiences or musical theatre

Summary

• Start date: 5th August 2024 or thereabouts
• End date: 21st September 2025
• Location: Performance venue in West London
• Performances: 7 performances per week Tuesday – Sunday
• Salary: competitive weekly buyout fee
