1 million visits to the Earls Court - home of the Empress Museum
21 October 2025
The Earls Court Development Company (ECDC) has celebrated one million visitors to its site in west London, once home to the former Earls Court Exhibition Centres. Since opening the site for temporary uses, also known as ‘meanwhile use’, in 2021, ECDC has invested in a diverse programme of cultural, sporting and community activities that have brought people and energy back to the area.
Earls Court stands as the largest cleared development opportunity in central London, with ECDC’s plans for the 40-acre site proposing a transformation that includes c. 4,000 homes, three new cultural venues, 20 acres of open space and public realm and 2.5m sq. ft of workspace
